Years ago, I was exactly where many police applicants are today - excited, motivated, and completely overwhelmed.
The recruiting process can be long, demanding, and sometimes confusing. I remember constantly wondering if I was missing something or whether I was preparing the right way. My first police application didn't go the way I had hoped, and I was deferred. Like many applicants, I had to regroup, learn from the experience, and apply again.
That second opportunity changed my life.
I eventually had the privilege of serving as a Canadian police officer, and that experience taught me just how valuable good preparation, persistence, and resilience can be.
That's why I created Badge Bound. Not simply to build an app, but to build the platform I wish I'd had when I was applying.
Today, Badge Bound helps applicants stay organized, prepare for interviews, track their progress, and build confidence throughout the recruiting process.
Badge Bound currently supports the RCMP recruiting process, with additional Canadian police agencies already in development. My goal is simple: to build one platform that supports future police officers across Canada.
If Badge Bound helps even one applicant feel more prepared, more confident, and one step closer to earning the badge, then it's doing exactly what I set out to build.
